In Italy, a new submission procedure for the promotional material addressed to healthcare professionals has come into force on June 1st, 2018.

From now on the submission of promotional materials shall be managed only through the “AIFA Front End” system/IMS – Informatori Scientifici (Sales Representatives), an application which is already used by companies for the transmission of data relevant to sales representatives in the Italian territory.

The submission of promotional materials in paper copy will be no more available, therefore, the submission to AIFA of new promotional materials, the update of the promotional materials already submitted and the notification of information materials for scientific or professional consultation purposes has to be performed electronically only, through the AIFA Front End system.

The advertising aimed to be used only in the congress context remains regulated by the reference document of February 11th, 2010 released by AIFA.

 

RPN is supporting companies on regulatory aspects, on their compliance with the Italian legislation and on various activities concerning the promotional materials (from revision to submission) on behalf of the company. In addition, specific trainings are provided to companies upon request.
